Chapter 8 – More goings-on in Magic Town

Young Letitia Hatfield soon became a child and her big brother, Marvelo, went off to college.  He was pretty smart so should do well there.

snapshot_a5d86169_65d8616a

Luperca Lupin also grew up quickly and went off to college.  She made a big impression there, savaging her room-mate, Amanda, and turning her into a werewolf…

Meanwhile, Summer Kimbrell was experimenting with her new toy bench and the making of a boot smoothie!

She also had a son with Juniper who was named Dandelion.  He didn’t look very Plantsim-ish but that was possibly because his dad, Juniper, is only a Half-Plantsim.

Meanwhile, Beowulf Greyback proposed to and married Madelien Buckingham.  They had a nice, night-time, misty wedding – perfect for Werewolves.

They later had a daughter, Accalia.

Whilst Luperca was at college, her parents felt the house was too empty and had another daughter, Chanteloupe – ancestor of William Williamson.

Beta Birth Queen and 1000101 Colony Drone moved out of the main colony to form their own.  After this, Alpha Birth Queen gave birth to Gamma Birth Queen.  Her Half Alien-Plantsim toddler was growing well and it wouldn’t be long before she became an adult.

Beta Birth Queen gave birth to 65535 Colony Drone.  The Alien Colony could now grow well…

Gamma Birth Queen and 65535 Colony Drone soon grew into toddlers…  And Pollination Technician 1 Smith was soon to go off to college…  She was very pleased to meet up with her good friend, Marvelo, there…

Meanwhile, young Otto Vonderstein grew into a child, Adelheid grew to a toddler and Vlad and Helga had another child, a son, Orlando.  Their family was growing too.

A random photo of young Lawrence Roseland playing with Porthos… 🙂

Afterwards, Luperca finished college and returned to her parent’s house.  Vernon Greenman – son of Basil and Rosemary – grew into an adult and needed a place to live.  He pleaded with Farkas for a roof over his head and the latter finally gave in.  Luperca took a shine to the young Plantsim so it looks like they will have a romance?

Chapter 7 – A Depressed Alien

This is the final post for this weekend.

Suddenly, the logic behind Alpha Birth Queen’s decision to have a Half Alien-Half Plantsim baby became clear.

The Aliens had not been happy with Worker Alien.  She was beginning to see to her own needs too much, needing to eat and sleep, etc…

Bur mostly, they had become angry that she was using their sacred hot spring and not attending to the Colony.

Alpha had decided that she wanted a Worker who had less needs to fulfill.  She checked out various species and decided that Plantsims were the easiest to look after.  Another bonus was that they grew from toddlers straight into adulthood.

They renamed worker to Perdita – an Alien word for Outcast – and sent her on her way to make a life for herself – once the new Worker had reached toddlerhood.  Meanwhile, Pollination Technician 1 had become a teenager and was studying all the aspects of being a Pollination Technician:

So, the poor original Worker, Perdita, managed to find Warren’s old tiny Gypsy Caravan to live in and try to make a life there:

She found it quite hard adjusting to life outside the Colony.  All her neighbours were married and had families – which made it quite painful to be alone.  Still, Ariella Alston managed to befriend her and she got a job in Science – which would allow her to meet new people…  Herman Addams was a friend she brought home from work one day.

How would she get on?  Would she find love?

Chapter 6 – Marriages And More Children…

As Sims have been getting married, there have been quite a few more babies being born.

Firstly, Cyd Roseland finally plucked up the courage and asked Broomhilda to marry him.

After they rolled their marriage wants, they immediately rolled to have a baby.

And Lawrence Roseland was born…  This meant the Roseland name should go on in this legacy.

Warren Alston, the Fairy, had a fling with Ariella Brambling which resulted in them having a daughter, Merryweather.

Pictures of Merryweather:

Naughty Warren also had a bit of a fling with the Half Werewolf, Madeleine Buckingham.  This resulted in her having a Half Fairy-Quarter Werewolf daughter named Cana.

snapshot_658ac058_85cee901

Cana as a toddler.  Her mother had moved in with Beowulf Greyback, who had got a bigger place.  Cana looked more like a Fairy than a Werewolf.  But if she did have any Werewolf attributes, they wouldn’t show up until she reached her teens…

Meanwhile, Warren finally got around to marrying Ariella.

With the Plantsims, Summer Greenman grew up into an adult and left home to live with Juniper Kimbrell:

They soon fell in love, married and had a son, Dandelion:

Dandelion looked like a Regular Sim – which was strange – but his father was only a Half-Plantsim…  His mother, Summer, was a budded Plantsim (from Rosemary Greenman) but her mother’s green skin did not seem to have come through her into Dandelion…

Vernon, Summer and Petal’s brother, was different as he was born a Plantsim – so should have more of the Plantsim green skin genes.  He later also grew into an adult:

Think we need to build a Plantsim colony, once Petal is old enough to fend for herself…

Meanwhile, there were changes in the Zombie Lillard/Addams household:

Morticia Lillard gave birth to Belladonna, Mortlake became a child and Herman Addams married Morticia.  After their wedding, she gave birth to a son, Humphrey Addams.

And with the Vampires, after their wedding, Vlad and Helga had another child, a daughter, Adelheid:

Finally, with the Aliens, Alpha Birth Queen had hatched a cunning plan:

She managed to get DNA from Basil Greenman and give birth to a Half Alien-Half Plantsim baby…

Chapter 5 – Vampires & Zombies

I haven’t posted for ages as have been busy playing – to get more photos and stories.

Now for the Vampires.  There were originally two, Vlad Draco and Helga Vonderstein.  They were neighbours but had only met briefly once.

Vlad talking with the Alpha Birth Queen Alien.

snapshot_00000023_658e4d76

Helga playing chess with Moticia Lillard.

Although she was a vampire, Helga was a friendly, nice Sim who liked to make friends.  She grew close to Robert Widdershins…  The problem was that he was already married to someone else…

You guessed it!  Their affair resulted in Helga becoming pregnant and having a son, Otto:

She was a very good mother though and adored her baby.  On asking some advice from her neighbour, Vlad Draco, they also became close:

Until they fell in love.  This resulting in him moving her (and Otto) in and marrying her:

I so love it when Sim Vampires turn into bats… 🙂

Now onto the Zombies.  Initially, the only Zombie in Magic Town was Morticia Lillard.  She had died young and had been ‘resurrected’ as a Zombie by Godrick Lillard.  He was a Mad Scientist and getting on in years:

snapshot_00000023_058d4f5b

Godrick, teaching his new protegee Zombie, Morticia, how to play chess…

Originally, he wanted her for a test subject but he found himself growing closer to her.  They ended up getting married:

She eventually bore him a son, Mortlake:

Just before Mortlake became a child, Godrick brought in a new Assistant, another Zombie called Herman Addams.  But, unfortunately, before the old man could teach Herman everything, he died:

Herman became a great comfort to Morticia – who almost hit rock bottom after Godrick’s death.

But she had another surprise when she discovered she was expecting a second child by Godrick.  They had had some romance before he died…  More on them later…

Chapter 4 – The Witches & Wizards

As I won’t get to do much Simming this weekend, I thought I’d better post another chapter tonight.   This time, on the Witches and Wizards of Magic Town.

Firstly, we’d better look at Broomhilda Hick – ancester of Elden Hick (in the original Sims game…)

snapshot_00000023_c58e4294

Broomhilda ‘inherited’ Alfred’s B & B but she wasn’t very wealthy otherwise.  She thought she’d make a go of it though, hosting Alpha Birth Queen of the Alien clan.  Alpha wanted to start getting to know her neighbours so visited Alfred’s B & B.  Broomhilda thought she was a bit pompous though.

snapshot_658ac510_05bdfd53

Broomhilda had got to know Isambard Hatfield at Rosemary’s and Basil’s wedding.  She gossiped with him about the trouble Cyd Roseland had caused at the wedding.  Isambard giggled at this.

Isambard was finding being the sole breadwinner, seeing his family growing, and building them a bigger house to keep up, was a bit stressful so was grateful to have a good friend in Broomhilda.  They grew fond of one another.

snapshot_658ac510_25bdfea1

Naughty Isambard.  He had a wife and two children waiting at home.

Eventually, Broomhilda discovered she was pregnant with his child.  She really didn’t know what to do for the best – but did want to keep her baby.

snapshot_658ac510_85be0af3

She gave birth to a son who she named Hamish.  But she was worried about their future – her expression said it all in the photo.  She could not really be a single mother on her own, this would be scandalous.

snapshot_658ac510_c5bf44da

After a particularly bad day – what with some mean passing Sim kicking over her trash can, causing a cockroach infestation, and her nearly burning the house down (with trying to make a pancake), she thought she’d hit rock bottom.

snapshot_658ac510_85bf4dd9

Luckily, her good friend, Cyd Roseland, came to the rescue and suggested she (and Hamish) move into his new house at Dingley Dell.

snapshot_658ac510_45bf51d4

Her last view of Alfred’s B & B – which she sold for some vital cash.  Now to concentrate on bringing up Hamish and her career in Medicine…  Would she be happy living with Cyd?

Now, for the Hatfield family – ancestors of Ulysses T Hatfield in the Original Sims:

Isambard Hatfield loved his wife, Charlotte, and his son, Marvelo.

snapshot_c58ac378_a5b242f5

But their family grew a little bit more with the birth of their daughter, Letitia.  Their old rented house just wasn’t big enough anymore.

snapshot_c58ac378_65bdc57c

Isambard had to put in long hours with his job – he was the sole breadwinner due to the new arrival stopping Charlotte from working – and in building a bigger house for them to live in.  When, at last, the family could move into the new house, the relief was tangible with his body language…

snapshot_c58ac378_65bed16c

Now, Charlotte had a lovely big kitchen for cooking in, with a huge hearth and a super cauldron to hang there.  She was happy.

snapshot_c58ac378_65bd7ace

Letitia was growing up fast…  She learned to walk.  It wouldn’t be so long before she became a child.

snapshot_c58ac378_85bed032

Marvelo became a teenager.  He wasn’t far off going to college…  Would there be any further additions to the Hatfield family in the meantime?

Finally, we have the Widdershins family…

snapshot_c5914eae_65b0dce5

Violet Widdershins loved her husband, Henry, but he didn’t seem particularly demonstrative towards her.  She tried casting a spell to make him happy but she wasn’t very good at magic yet.

snapshot_c5914eae_25b0dd95

Something must have worked though as he did show her attention later.

snapshot_c5914eae_c5b0f962

She soon became pregnant with their first child.

snapshot_c5914eae_e5b0fb24

And gave birth to a son, Robert.  She was as happy as can be.

snapshot_c5914eae_25b8c36f

They later had visitors, Broomhilda Hick and Helga Vonderstein – ancestor of Klara Vonderstein in the Sims 2.  Helga was a vampire and Robert seemed to be entranced with her.

How would Henry cope with being a father now?  Could he learn to adore his wife?  Or will his fascination with Helga get the better of him?  Find out later…

Chapter 3 – The Werewolves

As well as Cyd Roseland, Aliens, Plantsims and Fairies, there were Werewolves living in Magic Town.  They all lived in caves at the edge of the town.

snapshot_658ac058_2590d689

Pictured are Farkas Lupin, Beowulf Greyback and Madeleine Buckingham – a Half-Werewolf.  They enjoyed playing poker in the communal cave.

Larentia gave birth to a daughter who they named Luperca.

The Werewolves haven’t been played with much yet but there should be more on them later…

Chapter 2 -Cyd Roseland, The Plantsims and Fairies

First to move into the Gypsy Camp was Cyd Roseland and his dog, Porthos.  He was a Regular Sim but was allowed to live in Magic Town because he had Gypsy heritage.

snapshot_e50539dd_25bf53ca

He grew very fond of his neighbour, Rosemary Forester.  She was a Plantsim.

Rosemary didn’t really want marriage as she didn’t have any concept of ‘ownership’ of another Sim.  However, she and Cyd began an affair which resulted in her becoming pregnant:

snapshot_e50539dd_a58fb3b8

She eventually gave birth to a daughter called Petal.  The latter was a Half-Plantsim but apart from having Plantsim skin, she was just like a regular Sim:

The next neighbour who lived in the Gypsy Camp was Basil Greenman:

He was also fond of Rosemary, even asking her to marry him – to which she did accept as they had triple attraction towards one another.  Although Cyd tried to cause trouble at their wedding, they have been very happy together since.  Basil, Rosemary and Petal moved away from the Gypsy Camp into a Lone Gypsy Caravan.  They are doing exceptionally well now – with a couple more Plantbabies, Summer and Vernon:

Petal, herself, grew up to be a child:

snapshot_058abe51_65bf3600

She looked a lot like her father, Cyd, except for having her mother’s Plantsim skin.

The next person who moved into the Gypsy Camp was Half-Plantsim, Juniper Kimbrell:

snapshot_25b78ab4_e5b78b00

He was playing a water fight with a Fairy neighbour, Ariella Brambling.  She moved into Basil Greenman’s old caravan.

Finally, another Fairy, Warren Alston, moved into Rosemary Forester’s old caravan.

However, the Gypsy Camp soon needed to move on but Cyd Roseland didn’t want to leave his neighbours.  So, he found another place for them to live, Dingley Dell:

Pictures show L-R clockwise: Ariella’s beautiful house, Cyd Roseland and Broomhilda Hick’s house, Ariella and Broomhilda outside Juniper Kimbrell’s house, a pregnant Ariella (inside her house) and Warren Alston’s caravan.

Everyone was doing OK there – although Broomhilda needed to pull herself together somewhat as she was prone to being a bit of a calamity, burning her dinner, etc.  However, Ariella has now made friends with her which may help.  Cyd Roseland may also take their relationship further, hopefully asking her to marry him?  Will she accept though?

The Beginning Of Strangetown

I also enjoy playing Sims 2 (when not making jewellery) and am writing up some of the stories which get created whilst playing.  This is in order to share with others as it’s always much more fun to spread the joy rather than totally play alone.

With many thanks to Marka93, of Mod The Sims, who created the Beginning Neighbourhoods and for all those who created such wonderful custom content there as well as All About Style (for clothes) and countless others…  Also thanks to Voleste for creating the Original Sims Magic Town lots – without which would have made this almost impossible…

Chapter 1 – The Aliens In Magic Town

The year was 1890 when the Aliens crash-landed in Magic Town, a sub-neighbourhood of Strangetown.  They had been on their way to a delegation when their spaceship had developed mechanical problems, causing them to end up on SimWorld, rather than at their destination.

snapshot_00000023_8592413f

Magic Town

The crew of the spaceship were two Birth Queens, Alpha and Beta, and their Colony Drones, 1000101 and 2121.  They also had with them a Worker Alien, thankfully, so they were able to create a Habitation to live in.

L-R: Colony Drone 1000101 and Alpha Birth Queen, Beta Birth Queen and Colony Drone 2121.

Both Birth Queens paired up with their respective Drones and it wasn’t long before Alpha Birth Queen hatched Pollination Tech 1 Smith…

snapshot_e58f8d4f_859265df

The Worker Alien was on hand to take care of the infant.

In the meantime, Beta Birth Queen was busy drawing up blueprints to assist in fixing their broken spaceship:

snapshot_e58f8d4f_45b0f55e

The two Colony Drones had found employment so had begun mixing in the neighbourhood, making friends, etc…

Pollination Technician 1 didn’t take long to grow up…

Pollination Technicians could be either male or female.  Pollination Technician soon became a child.  It wouldn’t be long before she was out and about pollinating other Sims…

It looked like the Aliens had done well in landing in Magic Town.  They began to realise that they weren’t the most unusual inhabitants there…
